I joined the Air Force in January 1979, retiring in 1999. I was a Turboprop Engine Technician Specialist (AFSC 42670). Maintaining C-130's and helicopters. Basically, anything with a prop I put my hands on. I furthered my training to became a Crew Chief on C-130's, allowing me to crew my own plane. My PCS assignments, first McChord AFB in Washington state. From there - RAF Mildenhall England, Pope AFB North Carolina, Howard AFB Panama, Kirtland AFB New Mexico. I deployed in support of operation "Desert Shield" from Pope AFB. I PCS'd to Panama during operation "Just Cause" staying in Panama for 3 years. Deploying with special operations to Central and South America, working with the DEA. My next assignment brought me to Kirtland AFB New Mexico. This is where I retired from the Air Force. Afterward as a contractor on Kirtland, I took on the role of running the base supply IEU and tools warehouse. I returned to school, receiving a degree in Computer Networking Systems. Leading me to be hired on as a Telecommunications Officer for the Federal Government. I retired after 16 and half years. My next adventure brought me as a contractor for FLOUR LLC. on Buckley AFB as a Network Administrator for 3 years. I finally retired in 2018. Now I volunteer my time at VFW5812 in Pueblo West Colorado.
