I joined the Air Force in January 1979, retiring in 1999. I spent my carrier as Turbo-propulsion Technician Specialist (AFSC 42670). Maintaining C-130's and helicopters. Basically, anything with a propellor I put my hands on. I constantly deployed worldwide. I furthered my training, becoming a C130 Crew Chief. I started at McChord AFB in Washington state, then RAF Mildenhall England, Pope AFB North Carolina, Howard AFB Panama, Kirtland AFB New Mexico. I deployed in support of operation "Desert Shield" from Pope AFB. From Pope AFB I PCS'd to Panama during operation "Just Cause" staying in Panama for 3 years. deploying with special operations to Central and South America, Then, onto Kirtland AFB New Mexico, where I retired from the Air Force. After, I worked as contractor on Kirtland, managing and running the base supply IEU and tools warehouse. I returned to school, receiving a degree in Computer Networking Systems. Leading me to be hired for the Air Borne Laser Project (Missile Defense). After 3 years, I was hired as a Telecommunications Officer for the Federal Government, traveling and working at U.S. Embassy's around the world. I retired after 16 and half years. My next adventure brought me as a contractor on Buckley AFB as a Network Administrator for 3 years. I finally retired in 2018. Now I volunteer my time at VFW5812 in Pueblo West Colorado, proudly working with fellow veterans.
